Humana Rehydration - Fennel Flavour, 75 g

Humana Rehydration Fennel Flavour is a Food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP) for the dietary management of dehydration (fluid loss) resulting from diarrhoea or vomiting.

The formulation provides a balanced and defined supply of fluids, minerals (electrolytes), and carbohydrates (glucose and maltodextrin). The addition of fennel extract ensures a mild, palatable flavour. The powder is intended for use within the first 3 to 6 hours after symptoms appear and is suitable for infants from birth, children, and adults.

• Diarrhoea can be a sign of a serious illness. Seek medical advice immediately, especially for infants and young children.

Preparation & Dosage:

1. Dissolve the contents of one sachet (6.25 g of powder) in 250 ml of freshly boiled drinking water.
2. Drink the prepared solution in small portions, either warm or cold.
3. Please check the drinking temperature (approx. 37 °C) before consumption.

Dosage:

During the first day, fluid and mineral loss should be balanced (rehydration) exclusively with Humana Rehydration within the first 3 to 6 hours. Follow medical advice about the exact volume to be consumed (guideline: approx. 50–150 ml/kg body weight). The subsequent gradual reintroduction of food (refeeding) should begin from day 1 or 2. Breastfed infants should continue to be breastfed throughout.

Note: Do not reuse warmed up leftovers.
