Originally the Aronia berry, also known as black chokeberry, was native to eastern North America and southern Canada. The aronia plant is known for its high polyphenol content.

The Kona berry is an ideal partner for aronia. Kona is the trade name for Arabicaabica coffee beans that are grown in the Kona district on the west coast Big Island in Hawaii. While coffee lovers only care about the roasted and ground beans, we appreciate the shells of the coffee bean as they are teeming with antioxidants.
