Description

The Manuka, or leptospermum scoparium, belongs to the family of tea tree plants. Manuka has been known among the Maori, the natives of New Zealand for hundreds of years.

Use
Body oil: Manuka is effective in neutralizing hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme found in large concentrations in the venom of bees, scorpions and snakes and in some pathogenic microorganisms (e.g. pneumococcal).

Manuka has a soothing effect on the skin and is therefore found in many anti-dandruff shampoos. Manuka is also a proven home remedy for treating lice.

Fragrance oil: Manuka is said to relieve the mind and reduce stress.
