What exactly is L-Tyrosine?
The semi-essential amino acid L-tyrosine occurs naturally in various foods, mainly in the form of proteins. This amino acid is one of a total of 20 so-called proteinogenic amino acids. They are the building blocks of the proteins of living things. Hence the additional letter "L-". It represents a specific chemical structure and states that this amino acid is needed for cell components.
