Description

Riboflavin (vitamin B2), which belongs to the B-group of vitamins, occurs in the human body as a coenzyme in two active forms, namely as flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) and flavin mononucleotide (FMN), which is also called riboflavin-5-phosphate. With the cooperation of these coenzymes, the B vitamins folic acid and vitamin B6, among others, are converted into their active forms.
