Description

With this baking mix, making a delicious brioche-type sweet bread is child's play! Simply add a few fresh ingredients to the mix to make a smooth dough that can be shaped into 2 loaves, 12 rolls or any other shape you like. You can also make a vegan version of the dough. The decorative flowers provide a feast for the eyes! Perfect with coffee or as a sweet dessert.

Fresh ingredients needed (classic version):

  • 2 eggs
  • 315ml milk
  • 80g butter

Fresh ingredients needed (vegan version):

  • 300ml oat milk
  • 80g plant-based butter

Tips:

  • The longer the dough rests, the better it will rise. It should rise to twice its height.
  • Wrapped in cling film, packed in Tupperware or stored a freezer bag, the pastries keep fresh for a few days.

Preparation:

  1. Take out the sachet with the flower petals and put it aside.
  2. Vegan version: Gently heat the oat drink (see the milk line) and 80 g of vegetable fat in a saucepan until the fat dissolves. Let cool down to lukewarm.
  3. Classic version: Gently heat the milk (see the milk line) and 80 g butter in a saucepan until the butter dissolves. Let cool until lukewarm and stir in an egg. Stir for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the lukewarm milk mixture to the baking mix and knead well for approx. 4 minutes (you can use a mixer if you like)
  5. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 30-60 minutes
  6. Knead the dough again, shape it into the shape you prefer and cover it. Let it rise for another 20 minutes in a warm place.
  7. Preheat the oven (electric: 190 ° C).
  8. If you are making small rolls, cut the dough into balls.
  9. Vegan version: brush with water
  10. Classic version: brush with an egg wash (mix 4 tbsp milk & 1 egg yolk).
  11. Sprinkle the loaf with the sugar and flower petal mixture.
  12. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, remove from the baking sheet and let cool for 10 minutes
