What is balm?

Balm (melissa officinalis) has its roots in the Eastern Mediterranean region and Western Asia. Today, balm is cultivated worldwide in warm and temperate zones. In Central Europe it can be found wild-growingly along logging roads or forest paths. Balm also grows on warm, dry, and eutrophic soils. Already in the Middle Ages, balm was popular and cultivated.

What is special about balm?

For a long time, balm is appreciated for its calming and anticonvulsant characteristics and is traditionally applied as tea or salve. Already in the Middle Ages it was considered as indispensable. There even was a regulation, that balm had to be grown in every monastery garden. Balm is also known as lemon balm due to its fresh leaves that smell like lemon.

What is special about our balm capsules?

We only use balm from strictly controlled cultivation. Each capsule contains 300mg lemon balm extract. As it is an extract, you receive all important nutrients in high concentration. Apart from that, our balm capsules are tested in an independent laboratory not only for pureness but only for optimum effectiveness and amount of vital substances.

Recommended Use:
Take 1 unchewed capsule daily before a meal with still water (at least 200 ml).
