Recipe: 15-Minute Keto Pizza

Recipe: 15-Minute Keto Pizza

You can make this gluten-free, low-carb keto pizza in just 15 minutes. Here is the recipe:

Ingredients: Keto Pizza Dough

  • 100 g almond flour
  • 25 g coconut flour
  • 5 teaspoons of water, as needed
  • 2 teaspoons of xanthan gum
  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Suggested toppings:

  • Mozzarella
  • Hot peppers
  • Salami
  • Basil

Making the dough:

  1. Add the almond flour, coconut flour, xanthan gum, baking powder and salt to a food processor and mix well.
  2. Add the egg and vinegar to the mix while the food processed is on.
  3. Add enough water so that the mixture forms a smooth dough, adding a little at a time. The xanthan gum makes the dough sticky, but still firm.
  4. Knead the dough for about two minutes. The best way to do this is to wrap it in cling film so that it doesn't stick. The dough is ready when it is smooth and has almost no cracks.
  5. Add the dough back into the food processor. Mix in a teaspoon of water.
  6. Let the dough rest at room temperature for around ten minutes.
  7. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  8. Now roll out the dough thinly between two sheets of baking paper (choose the thickness you like) and place it in the hot oven.
  9. The best way to bake pizza is using a pizza stone. First you bake the only the dough upside down on the hot pizza stone until it starts to bubble, which takes about two minutes.
  10. Now turn the dough over, put on the sauce and toppings you like and finish baking the pizza in the oven.
  11. Alternatively, you can use a pan to cook the pizza on low to medium heat. The procedure is the same, except that to finish the baking process, you put a lid on the pan.
  12. Serve immediately.

Note: If you've made more batter than you need, you can keep it in the refrigerator for up to five days.
